“Emotions change how we see the world and how we interpret the actions of others. We do not seek to challenge why we are feeling a particular emotion; instead, we seek to confirm it.”

ABOUT
WHERE IT STARTED
Growing up on a farm in rural Montana, I developed a deep understanding of the importance of nonverbal communication by observing animals to assess their well-being. This skill carried over into my interactions with the other farm and ranch folks I interacted with, particularly when working alongside my dad on livestock and building projects. Often, when words weren’t enough or couldn’t be communicated, I learned to anticipate needs through nonverbal cues, a skill that only proved to be more and more useful as I grew older. This early experience sparked my lifelong fascination with body language and kinesics.
My homeschooling experience, tailored by my mom’s dual degree in English and Psychology, gave me distinct academic advantages but led to a sense of social disconnect. To overcome this, I utilized my ability to read people’s verbal patterns and body language, strengthening my social interactions despite cultural differences. As I began my higher education, my interest in psychology evolved into a focus on nonverbal communication. After extensive intrinsically and extrinsically driven study (countless books, multitudes of seminars, numerous university classes, diverse professional training, etc.) I transitioned into consulting, helping businesses with workplace dynamics, and video content creation. This journey has only deepened my passion for understanding and analyzing body language.
QUALIFICATIONS
During my time researching kinesics, nonverbal communication, and related fields, I have received a number of certifications and achievements for my work.
These are my current qualifications; however, in that the research field of nonverbal communication and kinesics is a relatively new, I do not consider my education nearly complete, and continue to build on my understanding and knowledge.
